COVID-19 in West Virginia

West Virginia recorded its first case of COVID-19 on March 17, 2020. The first case was reported in Jefferson County, in the state's eastern panhandle region. By July 25, every county in West Virginia recorded at least one positive case of COVID-19.

As of March 17, 2021, West Virginia has recorded:

COVID-19 in Lincoln County

The Lincoln County Health Department reported the county's first positive case of COVID-19 on April 10, 2020. W.Va. DHHR confirmed this case on April 14, making Lincoln County the 47th county (out of 55) to report at least one confirmed case by that date.

The Lincoln Journal makes every attempt to update this page daily. Stats are generally posted by noon, Sunday through Friday, and after the 5 p.m. school color map update on Saturday. Active case counts by community are usually updated weekly, after release from the Lincoln County Health Department. School and nursing home color status are updated weekly on Saturday.
