Press Association debuts Spanish language video series for West Virginians

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Press Association (WVPA) has launched a Spanish-language YouTube series for Spanish speakers in West Virginia.

The new video series, Las Noticias En Tu Idioma Con Sergio Rodriguez (“The News In Your Language With Sergio Rodriguez”) launched earlier this year. It is hosted by veteran journalist Sergio Rodriguez, a native of Nicaragua.

“In Nicaragua, I used to be in a show that’s like Good Morning America, but the Nicaraguan version,” Rodriguez said in a WVPA video explaining the series. “I used to be there every morning, live every day, and I used to [host] the news at 6 p.m. every evening.”
